Over the Cow Palace
So, what do you do with an image that the judges say has too much gorgeous, brooding (but "empty") sky in it? You put something in the sky. This is a composite. The cow palace is in Virginia and the balloons are in Clovis. (The discerning viewer will detect that the sunlight on the balloons and on the building don't match). But, I like it, anyway.
I still have the original image and I like the expanse of stormy sky, the highlights on the grasses in the foreground and the textures of the building. And, then, you have that tree growing in the silo.
